The Medical Fitness Association: Our Mission

The Medical Fitness Association (MFA) is a member-driven, nonprofit organization.  Our mission is to foster opportunities for the development and operational success of medically integrated fitness centers.  MFA provides industry standards, educational programs, benchmarks, outcome measurements, professional development and networking opportunities for the medical fitness industry.

To lead a global network of medically integrated fitness centers and programs in the pursuit of well-being.

Code of Ethics

As Medical Fitness Leaders, we pledge:

  • To uphold the ethics and mission of the medical fitness profession
  • To set the standard in the operation of fitness and wellness programs, facilities and services.
  • To operate our programs, services and facilities in a fair, honest and ethical manner.
  • To treat all clients/patients as our employer.
  • To ensure that all programs and information delivered to our clients, are safe, effective and based on up-to-date research.
  • To develop and implement programs and services which improve the quality of life and health of the population we are committed to serve.
  • To share "best of practice" strategies with the medical fitness industry at-large.
  • To avoid the exploitation of professional relationships for personal gain.
